We strive to confront ignorance and illiteracy through comprehensive educational programs targeting all ages: Children: Providing basic education and safe learning environments to protect them from being lost and to build their future. Women: Literacy classes and life skills education to enhance their role in the family and society. Men: Educational and awareness programs that help them develop their abilities and keep up with life’s requirements. Our goal: Knowledge as a weapon for every individual, to ensure an aware society capable of revitalizing Darfur once again.
1. Security Challenges and Displacement
Destruction of infrastructure: Many schools and educational centers have been destroyed or converted into shelters.
Lack of safety: Students and teachers find it difficult to access study places due to the ongoing conflict risks.
2. Economic Challenges
Severe poverty: Families are forced to send their children to work instead of studying to secure a livelihood.
Lack of funding: Local organizations suffer from scarce resources needed to provide books, stationery, and teachers' salaries.
3. Social and Cultural Challenges
Widespread illiteracy: Especially among adults and women, which reduces awareness of the importance of education for emerging generations.
School dropout: High rates of school leaving among girls due to early marriage or household burdens.
4. Technical and Logistical Challenges
Technical isolation: Weak internet and electricity networks prevent the utilization of "remote learning" solutions.
Lack of staff: Qualified teachers migrate in search of safer areas or better livelihood opportunities.
