"Mama Africa" organization, with the support of UNICEF, marked World Water Day in the Rwanda camp by distributing hygiene supplies and chlorine to 1,490.

As part of the continuous effort to enhance humanitarian response and improve the health of displaced communities, Mama Africa Organization for Humanitarian Services (MAOHS), in fruitful cooperation with UNICEF, carried out an awareness campaign and comprehensive field distributions on the occasion of World Water Day at Rwanda Camp for displaced persons in Longa locality; aiming to provide families with essential materials and necessary skills to ensure water safety and personal hygiene under difficult circumstances. Raising awareness among displaced persons about the importance of drinking water and practically training them on ways to disinfect it using chlorine. Consolidating personal hygiene practices and handwashing with soap to prevent diseases and epidemics within the camp. Providing material support to 1,490 beneficiaries through the distribution of jerrycans and dignity kits, focusing on women, children, and persons with disabilities. Assessing field gaps and monitoring the displaced persons' needs for shelter, protection, and psychosocial support to guide future interventions.
